Kath Gotts

Kath Gotts studied Philosophy and Psychology at St Hilda’s College, Oxford, and then went on to study music at Goldsmiths College, London. She has written incidental music and songs for television and theatre, including Bad GirlsThe Fugitives, Family Affairs and Waterloo Road on TV and DustThe Bodies and Any Which Way for theatre. She wrote the music and lyrics for Bad Girls The Musicalbook by Maureen Chadwick and Ann McManus, which was produced at West Yorkshire Playhouse and at the Garrick Theatre in the West End. The show is now enjoying numerous productions on the amateur circuit both in the UK and internationally. Her urban musical  The Realness, with book by Maureen Chadwick and David Watson, premiered at Hackney Downs Studios in Autumn 2014 in a co-production with The Big House. The schoolgirl musical Crush, with book by Maureen Chadwick, premiered at Belgrade Theatre, Coventry in September 2015 before touring to Brighton Theatre Royal and Richmond Theatre.
