Alex is the king of the urban jungle and the main attraction at New York's Central Park Zoo. He and his best friends — Marty, Melman, and Gloria — have spent their whole lives in blissful captivity before an admiring public and with regular meals provided for them. But Marty lets his curiosity get the better of him and escapes with his animal posse to explore the world.
Filled with outlandish characters, adventure galore, and an upbeat score, Madagascar KIDS will leave audiences with no choice but to “Move It, Move It!”
Based on the hit DreamWorks animated motion picture, Madagascar KIDS was adapted for performance by students under the supervision of Timothy Allen McDonald of iTheatrics. Excerpts from the show were performed at the 2025 Junior Theater Festival New Works Showcase in Atlanta, GA and Sacramento, CA.
