On Friday, October 11th, the MTI office will close early at 1 PM ET and remain closed through Monday, October 14th in observance of Indigenous Peoples' Day and Columbus Day. Office operations will resume on Tuesday, October 15th.

Inspiration
Heidi, with book and lyrics by Sarah Schlesinger and music and lyrics by David Evans, is a musicalized adaptation of the famous children's book of the same name by Swiss author, Johanna Spyri. It is the story of a orphaned mountain girl named Heidi who eventually moves into the rich urban household of her distant relatives. Through the years, Spyri's story and characters have been adapted into a variety of films, television shows and plays.
Productions
Heidi premiered in 1991 as a part of the theatre for young audiences touring company, Theatreworks USA. It has been performed across the United States ever since, as well as in several European countries.
