Francesca Blumenthal

FRANCESCA BLUMENTHAL won the Backstage Bistro Award, MAC Award and special ASCAP Prize in 2001. Her earlier award-winning review, Life is not like the Movies sold out and received critical raves as did her recent revues, Places, Please! and Places, Please! Act Two. She was honored at the 2001 Chicago Humanities Festival.

Her ballad, Lies of Handsome Men is recorded by Cleo Laine, Margaret Whiting, Blossom Dearie, Donna McKechnie and many others. It formed the romantic climax of the film The Awakening.
