Work was featured in: UPSTAIRS AT O'NEALS, HERE'S TO OUR FRIENDS (MAC AWARD WINNER 1992-BEST REVUE), NOT SO NEW FACES, and ABC TV s NIGHT OF 100 STARS II.

Wrote the Musical Revue LOOSE CONNECTIONS and lyrics and book for the Musical ROCK CAROL with B.J.LEIDERMAN.

Lyricist and co-author of libretto for QUILT-A Musical Celebration. (with Merle Hubbard, John Schak and Michael Stockler.) QUILT was co-produced by The Smithsonian Institution and The University of Maryland. The Lincoln Center Library of Performing Arts Video Collection taped this production. QUILT is in the catalogue of Music Theatre International. QUILT has been produced on 3 continents.

In 1998 NAKED BOYS SINGING opened in Los Angeles at The Celebration theatre. (Garland Award 1998, LA WEEKLY Best Musical of the Year Award 1998) It ran for 2 years there. Jim is one of 13 authors of this show working with composer Ben Schaechter here.

NAKED BOYS SINGING has since been produced in New York City (now in its 5th year) and Chicago (about to enter its 3rd year). There have been 22 productions on 5 continents.

With Composer Sheilah Rae he wrote the book and lyrics for VIRCHOOSE - A virtuous musical for adult children of all those virtuous tales for children that you never believed.

Many of Jim's lyrics are included in Sheila Davis' 3 books on THE CRAFT OF LYRIC WRITING.

He has been a longtime active participant in the ASCAP Musical Theatre Workshop.

He is the grateful recipient of an ED KLEBAN AWARD for lyric writing.

He is a member of the Dramatists Guild and of ASCAP.

He teaches and directs and designs for the theatre in the Performing Arts Department at Middlesex County College in Edison, New Jersey. Recent productions he directed include THE VAGINA MONOLOGUES and THE LARAMIE PROJECT.

HE IS PRESENTLY AT WORK ON 3 NEW MUSICALS.
