Arnold Lobel's treasured characters hop from page to stage in a story of friendship and adventure. (30 Minute Version for Young Performers)
Adapted from the three-time TONY-nominated Broadway hit comes A Year With Frog And Toad KIDS. Based on Arnold Lobel's well-loved books and featuring a hummable score by Robert and Willie Reale, this whimsical show follows two great friends -- the cheerful, popular Frog and the rather grumpy Toad -- through four, fun-filled seasons.
Waking from hibernation in the Spring, Frog and Toad plant gardens, swim, rake leaves, go sledding, and learn life lessons along the way. The two best friends celebrate and rejoice in the differences that make them unique and special. Part vaudeville, part make believe, all charm, A Year With Frog And Toad KIDS tells the story of a friendship that endures throughout the seasons.
The jazzy, upbeat score of A Year With Frog And Toad KIDS bubbles with melody and wit, making it an inventive, exuberant, and enchanting musical perfect for young performers. Itís a wonderful show to be performed by an ensemble group of students and can be produced with either simple or extravagant staging and sets.

The part of Pseudolus in A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, was originally written for Phil Silvers. Both he and Milton Berle turned down the role, leaving Zero Mostel, to create one of the most legendary characters in musical comedy.
