Broadway Junior Version
Looks can be deceiving and wealth is not worth nearly as much as love in this Irish tale. (60 Minute Version for Young Performers)
Adapted from the classic Broadway musical, Finian's Rainbow JR. will bring audiences the luck of the Irish, with a classic score by Burton Lane and Yip Harburg (Oscar-winning lyricist of the classic song "Over the Rainbow" from the film The Wizard of Oz) that features heartfelt, memorable songs like "How Are Things in Glocca Mora?," "Old Devil Moon," and "Look to the Rainbow."
Finian McLonergan, who has emigrated from Ireland to the town of Rainbow Valley in the mythical state of Missitucky with his daughter Sharon, is intent on burying a stolen pot of gold in the shadows of Fort Knox. He believes the gold will grow and multiply. Hot on their heels is Og, a leprechaun intent on recovering his treasure before its loss turns him permanently human. Complicating matters is a corrupt senator who openly dislikes anyone different than himself, but in the end Sharon marries handsome young Woody Mahoney and Woody's mute sister Susan acquires the power of speech and falls in love with Og, who decides that being human isn't so bad after all.

The part of Pseudolus in A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, was originally written for Phil Silvers. Both he and Milton Berle turned down the role, leaving Zero Mostel, to create one of the most legendary characters in musical comedy.
