ANNE KESSLER

Owner/Artistic Director Curtain Call Performing Arts Center

About Anne Kessler
I have been involved in the performing arts and musical theatre since elementary school. I’ve studied voice, dance, acting (Walnut Street Theatre), piano and violin, and earned my BA in Music Education from Berklee College of Music in 1996. I’ve been teaching general/vocal music and musical theatre in NJ since 1997. Since establishing Curtain Call in 2011 as a summer program within my community, it has grown from a summer camp to a year-round theatre company. Regionally, I have performed in The Man of La Mancha, The Music Man, Bat Boy the Musical and Hairspray. I also love costuming, stage makeup and lighting design.

About Curtain Call Performing Arts Center
Curtain Call Performing Arts Center is an educational theatre organization that provides training in voice, acting, dance, and technical theatre. We provide a nurturing, inclusive and non-competitive environment for students in grades 5 – 12, where they can explore their artistry and creativity through participation in musical theatre productions. We also provide student director/choreographer/musical director/stage management opportunities that foster leadership and train the creative professionals of tomorrow. Many of our teens are pursuing college majors in theatre, direction, music (composition, arranging, conducting, technology), technical theatre and/or performance. Our tagline is Enriching The Lives of Children through the Performing Arts.
