MTI is thrilled to make available for licensing, 25 short musicals from Theatre Now New York, an artist service organization dedicated to the development of new works. The 25 musicals all began as part of Theatre Now’s annual SOUND BITES Festival of 10-Minute Musicals which showcases new musicals by up-and-coming musical theatre writing teams.

How are materials delivered?
Materials are delivered digitally as a 10-Minute Materials Bundle. A 10-Minute Materials Bundle is a single, digitally-downloaded file containing all of the necessary materials to perform your show! Your script, score, and everything else in one, simple location. Once you license your 10-Minute Musical, you’ll be sent an email with instructions on how to access and download your Bundle right in your MyMTI account. If you license multiple 10-Minute Musicals within the collection, each title will receive its own separate .zip file.What materials come with each show?

Superhots!
Superhots! takes place in a fictional town in Texas where the sun is hot, but the salsa's hotter. The Facebook Fighter
A bitter 30-year-old misanthrope makes continuous attempts at human connection the only way he knows how: by antagonizing people on Facebook. After he alienates his "friends" one by one with incendiary political rants, snobbish pop culture opinions, and flat-out viciousness, he realizes too late that his brash and frank online persona has pushed everybody away and left him all alone in a void of existential loneliness & social media silence.

The Carousel Of Inevitability And Certain Foreboding
On their fifth date at the 1964 World’s Fair in Flushing, Queens, Jimmy and Donna take a ride on the attraction “The Carousel of Inevitability and Certain Foreboding”. This audio-animatronic-filled journey through mankind’s technological accomplishments uncannily mirrors their own life (albeit more focused on the wonder of General Electric’s kitchen appliances), and before they know it they can’t tell the difference between reality and fantasy. Old Man In The Wheelchair
Shelly worries that she and her elderly father have never really connected, and time is running out. She compensates by splurging on expensive gifts for him, but this puts a strain on her marriage. It seems her spouse doesn’t understand her any better than her emotionally distant father ever did. But what SHELLY can’t see is the complex inner life that awakens in her slumbering father whenever he smells the lavender cologne that his nursing home aide wears. Memories of WWII and foreign romance enfold him even as SHELLY’s lonely frustration engulfs her. Then, as they each dive deeper into their own heads, father and daughter accidentally find each other for a very meaningful moment.

White Man's Burden
An extremely dark parody of the murders of unarmed Black men, told through the conceit of a TV commercial for a compilation CD that has a racist title. The deadly tunes on this CD, which sells for $29.99, include the crooning "Ballad of Emmitt Till," "The Summer of '64," "Jasper Rose" and the rap "The Streets of Bensonhurst." The songs spotlight the lives of true to life victims of hate crimes, James Chaney, Yusef Hawkins, James Byrd Jr. And Emmitt Till. And the Hits keep coming and coming.

Do I need to choose which title I am licensing in advance?
Because of the flat rate set-up with a year to produce, are we able to apply to license 3-5 titles, but choose which ones we produce at a later date? I'd like to consider this for future classes and camps, but the students would need to have a voice in the decision.
I see that pricing for 1 show is $175. Is that PER performance?

If we were to select some 10 minute musicals are we allowed to pair them with other scenes during the performance? For example if we did an evening of theatre and select 4 musicals and alternated them with small scenes, either student written or from another publishing compancy. Or are these musical only allowed to be performed by themselves.
