Katie Weston is a Melbourne-based singer, actor, musician and composer. MTC's Bloom was Katie's professional debut as composer, which gained her and Tom Gleisner the 2024 Green Room Award for Best Writing for a New Australian Musical (Commercial). She has since composed the score for AACTA and SFF award winning short film Die Bully Die. Previous original music theatre works include Sugartown and her acclaimed Falling Forward. Recent stage credits include Vivid White (Melbourne Theatre Company); Uninvited: The Songs of Alanis Morissette (KWM/Marrollo); Suddenly (DHB Theatrical) and The Last 5 Years (KWM). As Music Director, Katie’s credits include RENT and Legally Blonde (James Terry Collective), gaining her Green Room nomination for Musical Direction. Other awards include Music Theatre Guild of Victoria Award for Female in a Leading Role twice and Nova100’s Best New Artist. TV credits include the role of Antonia Hardmon on Neighbours. As electronic-dance artist WSTN, she released 2024 single "Conversation Ended", with forthcoming EP releasing later this year. Katie is a leading live vocalist and pianist for events around Australia. Qualifications include a Master of Music – Contemporary Voice from the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music and a Bachelor of Music Composition from the Victorian College of the Arts.
