Shrek can't hear!

We ordered a latex cowl for our Shrek, but he is having a lot of trouble hearing with it on. Does anyone know how to create ear holes without destroying the cowl?

Thanks for the advice! We actually used smaller heated nail and made a cluster of 3 holes at each ear. Our actor can hear, and the holes are virtually invisible from stage. The holes can also be camoflaged with some brown stippling.

Hi Briley, with our cowls we recommend marking where you need to make the holes, then using a large heated nail and pushing it through the latex. Hope this helps!
