Live Stream of Concert Event

Andrew Lippa (WILD PARTY) and Brian Crawley's (VIOLET) brand new musical adaptation of Francis Hodgson Burnett's book A LITTLE PRINCESS, will be premiering at the Texas Music Theatre.  Based on the beloved children's book from 1905, A LITTLE PRINCESS will be performed on the historic San Marcos square October 16th - 19th.

The final performance of the concert event on October 19th is scheduled to be streamed live on the internet for a nominal fee of $9.99 with all proceeds benefiting future Harrison New Musical Commissions.  To purchase tickets and/or learn more about the performances Click Here!

Wearing the hats of both director and star,  Kaitlin Hopkins, who is also the head of the musical theatre program at Texas State, relates, "I think one of the most exciting things for the students, other than the time they get to spend with Andrew and Brian in the rehearsal room, is that Andrew is also conducting the performances."

The cast it to be comprised of the program's students.  With the exception of Hopkins and her fellow faculty member/Brodway veteran Jim Price, who will star as Miss Minchin and Captain Crew, respectively.  Miss Hopkins continues, "It's a wonderful professional credit and rare educational experience for the students-and to be conducted by the composer and be part of the development of this show, well, that's the icing on the cake."

The event is funded by the Harrison Commission at Texas State University, which was specifically designed to develop new work.  The performances will provide the authors the opportunity to finalize the script, score and orchestrations with the help of a 20-piece orchestra comprised of the university's students.

Performances will be held Oct. 16-19th at the Texas Music Theater in San Marcos, TX.  The live stream will take place during the final performance on Oct 19th and is sponsored by Michael and Diane Bowman Hunt and Hunt Ltd in Houston, Texas.
