Godspell
Next year, GODSPELL is headed back to Broadway and the community spirit of the musical is more alive than ever. Ken Davenport, producer of Oleanna, Speed the Plow, Altar Boyz, Blithe Spirit, and The Awesome 80's Prom, recently announced a plan to bring the show back and intends to raise the necessary funding by accepting small contributions from hundreds, possibly even thousands, of investors. Typically, a producer must contribute $10,000-$100,000 to a show, but Mr. Davenport said that he was inspired by online microfinancing enterprises like kickstarter.org to allow a greater number of people to become involved in the world of producing on Broadway.
