John Trent Wallace is a freelance Composer, Sound Engineer and Business Consultant
His musical theatre compositions include for All 4 ONE with Kevin Heuston (pub. Weinberger), THE GREAT SLEIGH ROBBERY with Simon James Green, THE HUNCHBACK OF NOTRE DAME (pub. French) with Gary Sullivan, a Non-Pantomime version of PETER PAN and a new full scores for David Wood’s adaptation of Roald Dahl’s JAMES AND THE GIANT PEACH, FANTASTIC MR FOX and THE TWITS, with many musical arrangements for other David Wood plays, choral compositions and arrangements.
He has also created music for a BT Global Marketing campaign and book launch for Continuous Insight Ltd.
He studied piano, violin and singing under scholarship at The Redbridge Music School. As a boy treble, he sang for four seasons at The Royal Opera House, Covent Garden in Mozart’s The Magic Flute alongside Kiri Te Kanawa and Thomas Allen. He also toured Europe with The English Music Theatre Company, a sister company of The Royal Opera House, performing in Britten’s Three Church Operas under the musical directorship of David Bedford. ITV’s South Bank Show filmed a production at Britten’s local church at Orford for use in a documentary about Britten’s life.
His musical activities are varied and include Resident Musical Director of Brentwood Theatre and Director of Music for men2sing and New City Voices. He is also an active freelance musical director for musicals, concerts and summer schools.
Through his business TS3 Sound he provides recording/live sound services and has worked on many projects including Brentwood Council’s Alchemy Dance project which featured the Royal Philharmonics Orchestra, The Redbridge Schools Choral Festival at The Royal Albert Hall, World Premier of Oranges and Lemons, a specially commissioned work by Benjamin Till, which was performed in the stunning setting of Bow Church in London’s Cheapside which was featured by BBC London, his London Requiem performed in Abney Cemetery and stream by the BBC’s The Space website, and concerts for choirs and staged musicals across Essex.
Also through TS3 John provides business consultancy and has recently worked on several high profile projects for major Blue Chip companies as Client Director for global insight programmes – supporting 6000 sales people across 5 continents, Program Manager of Alliance Continuous Insight programs across multiple technology vendors, Program Manager for Outsourcing Proposition Development and Sales Enablement and Program Manager for Global Continuous Insight Bid Knowledge Management Deployment.
