Scott Ellis is an American stage director and television director. Ellis has directed numerous Off-Broadway and Broadway productions, including the New York City Opera Company revivals at the New York State Theatre. He has been nominated for the Tony Award as Best Director five times and received the 1991 Drama Desk Award for AND THE WORLD GOES 'ROUND. Ellis is the Associate Artistic Director for the Roundabout Theatre and, in 2007, received an Emmy nomination for his work on the comedy series "30 Rock." Ellis is set to direct upcoming musical adaptations of "The Blue Angel" and "Little Miss Marker."
