Jonathan Abrams is a film and television writer and theatrical book writer who was recently awarded as one of “Daily Variety’s 2025 Writers To Watch”. His original screenplay, Juror #2, directed by Clint Eastwood, was released by Warner Brothers in November, 2024 to critical acclaim and subsequently made many Top 10 End of Year lists including: The New Yorker, Vulture, Hollywood Reporter, Indiewire, Deadline and The Ringer. His stage musical, The Heart of Rock and Roll, inspired by the music of Huey Lewis & The News, for which he wrote the book, opened at The James Earl Jones Theatre on Broadway in April, 2024. He is currently writing a feature film remake of The Bodyguard for Warner Brothers to be directed by Sam Wrench and is developing a stage musical inspired by the songs of Luther Vandross in collaboration with Tony-winning director Kenny Leon. Raised in San Francisco, he is a graduate of the USC school of Cinema-Television and is represented by Creative Artists Agency, Mosaic Media Group, McKuin Frankel & Whitehead as well as Shelter PR.
