JENNIFER PAULSON-LEE is co-author of book revisions for Wonderland alongside longtime collaborator, Gabriel Barre. Jennifer Paulson-Lee’s career has evolved over nearly 4 decades in Musical Theatre beginning in professional dance under Agnes DeMille protégé, Mavis Ray Booth.  As a performing artist, choreographer and director, contracts have taken her on Broadway, to Radio City Music Hall, television, film as well as around the globe and helped develop relationships with icons of theatre including Jerome Robbins, Susan Stroman, Stephen Schwartz, Jerry Herman, Joe Stein and many others. As choreographer, credits include NYC’s Lincoln Center: The Scarlet Pimpernel with MCP, Annie Get Your Gun starring Patti Lupone, Peter Gallagher and the late Eli Wallach; and The Four Seasons: a Vivaldi Concert at Alice Tully Hall. Opera: Susannah; HMS PinaforeThe Consul. Princess Cruises: Currently running on 3 vessels for the last 10 years is a production called Magic To Do in collaboration with composer Stephen Schwartz.  Regional Theatre work includes Freaky FridaySeussical, the musical, the premiere of A Rockin’ Midsummer Night’s Dream by Michael Unger and Eric Svejcar; Camelot;  Dear World (alongside the late Jerry Herman); A Tree Grows In Brooklyn, Finian’s Rainbow (nominated for Best Choreography), Just So, Houdini, Sweeney Todd, and City of Angels with director Darko Tresnjak. Off B’way: Enter Laughing, the musical; Pre-B’way’s Little Women: the musical (Alan Knee, Kim Oler, Alison Hubbard with director Nick Corley); Stars in Your Eyes; The Last Starfighter; Lola, the musical. Ms. Lee has also worked extensively in university settings developing young artists including NYU’s Steinhardt School of Vocal Performance where she and Barre staged RAGS, and in 2019 began the revision work on WONDERLAND. At Michigan State University, development work premiered with Silvia Peto’s TEMPLE, a new musical addressing autism through the lens of Temple Grandin; productions and teaching at Indiana University and Shenandoah University among others. Directing creditsFlyer, the musical; A Time To Be Born; A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Beyond Measure and 2Life.  As author and director, Ms. Lee is developing a new musical about Howard Hughes currently titled, According to Howard alongside composer James D. Scully; and, a new short film titled The Gift. A member of SDC, she has written for the JOURNAL publication - Nurturing a Collaborative Spirit and also served the union in contract negotiations.
