Based on the famous classic novel by Roald Dahl, and the 1971 major motion picture, this Broadway Junior® title features a book from internationally acclaimed playwright David Grieg (Charlie and the Chocolate Factory), lyrics from the Grammy, Tony, and Emmy-winning duo Marc Shaiman and Scott Whitman (Hairspray, Catch Me If You Can), and music by Shaiman.
With new playful numbers from the Broadway musical and songs from the film, including "Pure Imagination" and "Oompa Loompa Song", this show is made for audiences who want to take a trip down memory lane or get an introduction to the colorful world of Willy Wonka.
Young Charlie Bucket and four other golden ticket winners embark on a life-changing journey through the world-famous Willy Wonka's mysterious factory. When the gates open to chocolate waterfalls, nutty squirrels and the great glass elevator, Wonka's mysterious Oompa Loompas take the seemingly lucky few on a tour they will never forget.

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory JR. is based on the Broadway musical which premiered in the spring of 2017 at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre.
