Request to License Russian Translation of Matilda Jr.

Dear MTI Team, I am the musical director of the theater studio at a Saturday Russian school in Germany. After attending a performance of Matilda in London earlier this year, I was inspired by the idea of staging Matilda Jr. in Russian. So far, I have not been able to find an existing Russian translation or song versions of the musical. While the 2022 Matilda film does have a translation, it is quite literal and not adapted for stage or musical performance. To explore this further, I have translated four songs—“Naughty,” “When I Grow Up,” “The School Song,” and “Revolting Children”—while carefully preserving the rhythm, rhyme, and meaning of Mr. Minchin’s original work. I would be delighted to share these translated lyrics as well as demo recordings (performed with the instrumentals based on London Original Cast Recording) for your review. Should MTI be interested, I would be more than happy to complete a full Russian translation of Matilda Jr. for potential licensing. I would greatly appreciate your guidance on the process of obtaining a license for a Russian-language production. Warm regards, Denis Bogdanov

On your resource page to rent orchestral accompaniment tracks to 1776, it doe snot list every song. Is that because your list is only partial to sample, or are the other selections not available? (e.g. overture)

Our local high school theater director said he received an email from you saying that he could not get approval from you unless El Paseo Arts Foundation approved. We have not received anything from you. I am president of EPAF. We totally support PI SD.

El Paseo Arts support Port Isabel High School's request to perform Elf. JoAnn Evans, President El Paseo Arts Foundation.
