JTF Goes West!
JTF Goes West!
We spent a weekend in sunny Sacramento for JTF West, our second Broadway Junior celebration of the year. The passionate performances by these young Broadway Junior stars were truly inspiring as they lit up the stage in celebration of musical theatre.
Enjoy a recap of this phenomenal weekend.
Every year, JTF reminds us of the incredible impact that Broadway Junior has around the world. JTF Atlanta, now celebrating over 15 years of musical theatre magic, hosted a staggering staggering 6,532 participants from the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, England, and China. JTF West, continuing to grow in its fourth year, drew over 2,000 attendees from the entire US, Australia, England, and Korea!

JTF West participants performed selections from across the Broadway Junior catalogue for their adjudications, where they received praise and feedback from theater professionals. The professional adjudicators traveled to Sacramento from every corner of the globe and every corner of the entertainment industry.

At the New Works Showcase, JTF West attendees were introduced to new Broadway Junior titles: The Drowsy Chaperone JR., Elephant & Piggie's "We Are in a Play" JR., Matilda the Musical JR., Moana JR., and Newsies JR.
We were fortunate to have a visit from some talented guests - including MTI friends and authors Marcy Heisler and Zina Goldrich (Dear Edwina, Junie B. Jones The Musical) and Doug Besterman and Dean Pitchford (The Big One-Oh!), Disney Theatricals president, Thomas Schumacher, bestselling author Jodi Piccoult, Sierra Boggess (Broadway's original Ariel), and Luca Padovan!
It was truly an unforgettable weekend full of hard work, incredible talent, and the magic of musical theater. Special thanks to our friends and partners at iTheatrics, Playbill, and Disney. We can't wait to see you all next year!
